Suchel Proquimia, the first Cuban industrial company to become self-sufficient with photovoltaic energy

Proquimia’s Cuban subsidiary, Suchel Proquimia, has made a major step forward in energy sustainability by becoming the first industrial company in the country capable of fully self-supplying through a new photovoltaic park.

This solar energy system, now fully operational, has a generation capacity of 137 kWh and battery storage of 100 kW, enabling complete energy autonomy for its industrial operations.

This project aligns with Suchel Proquimia’s comprehensive sustainability policy, highlighting its commitment to more eco-friendly products and environmentally responsible operations.

In 2022, Suchel Proquimia was already recognized with the Excelencias Cuba Award in the Sustainability category. The company promotes the use of concentrated products with a lower carbon footprint, plant-based ingredients, and recyclable or recycled packaging.

With this initiative, Suchel Proquimia not only strengthens its position as a sustainability leader in Cuba but also makes a significant contribution to the country's energy transition toward renewable sources.
